After finishing with the 2.1.A.0.5 build only days ago, we are now seeing a fresh 2.1.A.0.7 build rolling out to the Sony Movie creator application. Sometimes updates bring in new bugs with them and they require another update yet again to iron out those kinks in the system. Since no change-log come with the build, we don’t know what’s inside. However, we do know that it means it is only a minor incremental update that likely aims at fixing a few known bugs that crept in along the way.
All users will notice a notification alerting them of the update to the app from the app drawer on the smartphones and tablets. If you do not want to wait for the over the air signals you can install the APK file manually by clicking this link.
Applications work different to firmware and backups are not required this time. However, if you want to backup the existing apps at least, you can do that by downloading Helium for Android from the Google Play Store.
One of our readers isn’t happy with the way Sony reportedly made a movie of their existing photo gallery even though they never asked for it to do so. Have you encountered any problems with the applications and it taking over your system without giving it permission? Let us know in the comments section.
Since we are now witnessing two timely upgrades in as many weeks we think it may be a while before we see any further advancements. Hopefully the next phase comes with some features worth writing about.
