Many people don’t know but the Samsung Galaxy S6 does have a Dual SIM variant. The said variant lets you use two different SIM cards simultaneously on your device. You can make calls, use data, and do everything with whatever SIM card you want without swapping any.

Since the model number changes with the device variant, it needs a different root method. Fortunately, Chainfire does have a method to gain root on the Dual SIM variant of the Samsung Galaxy S6. Here’s how you can root yours:

Files You Need

1. Download and install the Samsung USB Drivers on your computer, if you haven’t done so yet.

2. Download Odin to your computer. You’ll need it when you flash the CF-Root file on your device.

3. Download CF-Root for the SM-G9200 to your computer. It is the file that will help you gain root-access on your device.

Rooting the Samsung Galaxy S6 Duos

1. Ensure that the correct drivers are installed on your computer.

2. Right-click on both Odin and CF-Root and select Extract here to extract the files.

3. Double-click on Odin and it will launch on your computer.

4. When Odin launches, you should see a button that says PDA. Click on it and it will let you select a file to be flashed on your device. Select the CF-Root file you downloaded earlier to be installed on your device.

5. Make sure Repartition is unchecked in the tool. It’s important.

6. You can checkmark both Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options, though.

7. Turn off your phone.

8. Turn your phone back on in download mode. To do that, hold down Volume DOWN+Home+Power buttons simultaneously.

9. Hit Volume UP and you should be in download mode.

10. Plug in your phone to your computer using a USB cable.

11. Click on Start in the Odin and wait for it to flash CF-Root on your device.

12. When it’s done flashing the file, your phone will automatically reboot.

13. You’re done.

Cheers!
