The LG F60 is a sweet-looking handset that has the same rooting method available as many of the other LG handsets. We are using a new One-Click rooting tool. Not all users are finding success for other devices, so it seems like the Life’s Good company are patching the exploit in some Lollipop updates. It’s with that news that we recommend you don’t try this unless you are an advanced Android user and can get yourself out of boot loops should they occur.
Those of you who do find the LG handset stuck can learn how to fix a bricked LG F60 by clicking that link after the guide. Furthermore, you might want to know how to boot the F60 to recovery mode. There are two methods there — one for those of you without root access and one for those who want to boot into the custom recovery mode. Moreover, you can learn how to boot the F60 in Fastboot Mode.
Rooting Android is the only way to get the most out of your device; you can overclock the CPU, increase the battery performance, install custom ROMs and change the way your device looks, remove any unwanted system apps which we call bloatware and more. Learn all about the features by reading what things you can do with a rooted Android.
Details of Note
- You should backup the Android device using helium for Android, the built-in backup options, sync the Google contacts using that guide and backup other data using additional third-party apps from Google Play. The easiest method for finding apps is to think what it is you want to back up and type that keyword into the Google Play Store search box. A list of desirable applications will follow. Take your pick from the list.
- The Developer Options list might need unlocking. You can do that from the About Device menu, where you must tap over the firmware build number around seven times, or until you see the display counting you down with the amount of turns required. Now you can exit the About Device and find the Developer Options available from the Settings.
- Enter the Developer Options menu and turn on the USB Debugging toggle option. Now you are able to connect the handset to the Windows computer.
- Using a One-Click tool will void the LG warranty just like using any other tool. Thankfully, you don’t have to downgrade the firmware, install a pre-rooted file, or any other annoyance with some other LG smartphones. However, the result with the warranty remains the same. You can’t send it away for free repairs.
Rooting the LG F60
- Download the One-Click rooting tool from here. If that doesn’t work, you can try the older version of the same rooting tool from here.
- Use the Desktop on the Windows PC to download the files above. You’ll need to install WinRAR or any other tool that let’s you unzip the files.
- Right-click over the file once it’s on your desktop and choose to extract it here. Now you can drag the file out of the folder.
- Double click the executable file and run the rooting tool so it’s waiting on the desktop.
- Connect the LG F60 to the same computer that has the rooting tool waiting.
- Once it’s connected, the rooting tool will pick it up and now you may follow the instructions on the display to finish.
- Since the F60 isn’t the most popular smartphone in the world, it might not have all the custom recoveries available. You’ll need to research what’s available. As I previously mentioned, you can learn about fastboot mode, entering the recovery mode and recovering from a bricked LG device with the guides above.
Those of you without any worries might wish to install one of the root checker apps available from Google Play. Open it up from the app drawer and check that it says the root worked.
