Not only one, but the Lenovo A7000 has been blessed with two of the most popular custom recoveries, namely CWM and TWRP. While we already have a tutorial teaching how to install CWM on your device, this guide should teach you how you can install the latter one – the TWRP Recovery – on your Lenovo A7000.

Once you’ve installed it, you’ll be all set to root your device and to get the most out of it. Here’s how:

Files You Need

1. This should install the TWRP Recovery on your device. If you wish to use CWM, you can follow our guide that teaches how to install the CWM Recovery on the Lenovo A7000 to get it installed on your device.

2. This requires you to have a computer running Windows.

3. In case you don’t already have, please download and install the latest Lenovo USB Drivers on your computer.

4. Download Flash Tool to your computer. It’ll be used to flash the recovery on your device.

5. Download TWRP Recovery to your computer. It is the recovery image that will be installed on your device.

Installing TWRP Recovery on the Lenovo A7000

1. Right-click on both Flash Tool and TWRP Recovery one by one and select Extract here to extract their files.

2. Once extracted, double-click on Flash Tool executable to launch it.

3. In the Flash Tool, you’ll see a button saying Scatter-loading. Click on it and select the scatter file to be loaded into the tool.

4. Click on Options and then select Download.

5. There’ll be a checkbox given on the screen that follows. Make sure it is checkmarked.

6. On the next screen, uncheck all the options except for recovery as that is what you’re going to flash on your device.

7. Click on recovery and choose the TWRP Recovery image available on your computer.

8. Power down your device

9. Pull the battery out of your device and don’t put it back in until the entire procedure below is completed.

10. Click on Download in the tool and plug in your device to your computer using a USB cable.

11. The tool should begin flashing the recovery on your device.

12. It’ll let you know when the recovery is successfully installed on your device.

13. And you’re done!
