The Motorola Moto X Play is a new mid-range smartphone with a Snapdragon 615 system chip. The features you get on the Moto X Play are great, but nowhere near as great as these custom ROMs.

AOSP (Android Open Source Project)
AOSP ROMS gives you pure Android exactly the way Google intended it on your device without any other bloatware on your device branded by OEMS or phone carrier networks. This version of AOSP for the Moto X Play smartphone is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. You must have TWRP recovery installed on your device to install this ROM. Furthermore, you must have the bootloader unlocked, just like the rest of the ROMs.
crDroid ROM
The crDroid custom ROM is now available for the Motorola Moto X Play device and comes with mostly CyanogenMod features, plus a few additional features that separate it from the rest of the pack so you do have a unique ROM. These ROMs are close to a CyanogenMod experience, so if you enjoy a CyanogenMod ROM and haven’t tried out crDroid, now is a great time.
