One of the main differences between a smartphone and desktop PC is the fact that you can hack a smartphone. The word hacking is used to describe people’s negative experiences of getting something hacked by an unwelcome entity who has then caused grief, pain, an annoyance to somebody, i.e. when someone gets one of their social media accounts hacked and then has to try to get the account back. There are a large number of times out there when hacking is bad, but there are also times when hacking is good.

Apart from easily being able to argue that the only way to increase security and prevent bad people from having the upper hand in a technological world is to promote hacking to a wider audience, so we have more people who are security, experts, there are other ways in w which hacking I more directly used for good. Sometimes companies like Google and Android tightly secure an operating system before the distribute it to a large audience such as the entire world with official software updates. Something that is collateral damage is locking the Android operating system that there are apps out there that can no longer be used. These apps are not necessarily harmful or illegal in any way, nor do they break any moral ground rules in sensitive areas that perhaps should be illegal if the law looked into to more diligently. NO, these apps are genuinely doing nothing but at all, but due to their nature, they need full system access — the same access Android took away when they locked the operating system. There is only one way we can get that full system access back on the LeEco Le 1S smartphone, and it is with root access to the internal system, just like we are about to get once we complete the guide below.

LeEco Le 1S

Files You Need

  • Download the Kingoroot tool from here.

You do not need to unlock the bootloader or install a custom recovery on your LeEco 1S smartphone before you use this guide to root the handset with the KingoRoot tool. However, you will need to unlock the bootloader before you install a custom recovery on the smartphone.

Those of you who do want to install a custom recovery can learn how to unlock the LeEco Le 1S bootloader and then install TWRP Recovery on the LeEco Le 1S smartphone before or after this guide if you wish.

Rooting the LeEco Le 1S running on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software updates

  1. Download the KingoRoot tool from the files section above and have it waiting on the desktop.
  2. Connect the LeEco Le 1S smartphone to the computer with the USB cable.
  3. Copy and paste the KingoRoot APK file over to the first folder on the internal storage SD card.
  4. Unplug your LeEco smartphone from the computer and then open a File Manager — either already on your phone or from the Google Play Store — and install your KingoRoot APK so it turns into an application on your device.
  5. Head to the app drawer to find your new KingoRoot app and open it up by tapping on the icon.
  6. Look for the Root button available from the main page and tap on it.
  7. Exit the rooting application when it is complete and then reboot the smartphone before you attempt to use it with the root access to the internal system.

In conclusion, that is how to root the LeEco Le 1S smartphone using the KingoRoot one-click rooting app from a File Manager and a computer. You will find all of the same root apps that your friends are using — whether they rooted with KingoRoot or any of the other one-click rooting tools — will now work on the smartphone. Moreover, you can always unroot the smartphone again if you want to run the stock ROM. Remember to unlock the bootloader before you try installing a custom recovery for those of you who are wanting to install a custom ROM. Unlocking the bootloader is both necessary for anyone before installing the custom recovery and when installing the custom ROM, so there is no way of avoiding the bootloader process. Nonetheless, anyone who just wants to install the root apps that are now available from the Google Play Store such as the Titanium Backup application can do that now since you have finished the guide above.
