YTS (yts.mx) is one of the most reputable online brands for downloading movie torrents. The full name for this brand is Yify Torrents. It gets abbreviated to YTS for the domain names. The original YIFY/YTS website was shut down in 2015. Since then several reliable YTS domains have allowed users to download torrents again and they get lots of traffic. Several other YTS domains are getting similar amounts of traffic. yts.mx is considered the main domain.
ALTERNATIVES
Similar sites to yts.mx include torrentgalaxy.to, thepiratebay.org, utorrent.com, kickasstorrents.to, pirate-bays.net, 1377x.to, torrentfreak.com, ytstv.me, magnetdl.com, and mega.nz.
DESCRIPTION
When I analyzed yts.mx, the homepage had featured movie thumbnails above the fold. There were only four of these featured movie thumbnails, which means that the thumbnails could be quite large. I liked the idea of the thumbnails being lage to help increase the chances of people clicking on them and engaging with them. When I scrolled down, there were plenty of more thumbnails related to the latest movies that had been uploaded to the site. The single post pages had links to download the torrent magnets. When I texted the magnet links, they did open with torrents in my torrent client. When I played the torrents, they were full movies and worked well.

Is yts.mx Safe?
I analyzed yts.mx for malware and malicious content to check if it was legit or a scam. Here are the results:
I checked the yts.do domain on Sucuri, and it returned as a medium security risk.
Sucuri says yts.mx is a medium security risk because it runs outdated software (PHP under 7.4.6).
I then ran a parasite scan with Unmask Parasites on yts.mx, and it is suspicious.
Unmask Parasites cites 1 suspicious inline script found:
(function(){var js = "window['__CF$cv$params']={r:'7c5c4d0ddd2f2da6',m:'0xoGGbhNelevZO9AZC6eSdyElbbOaBTfgZzTYl93lfg-16838...
I also checked yts.mx on VirusTotal, and it is clean.
In conclusion, Sucuri says YTS runs an outdated PHP version, but there was no malware detected and the site was not blacklisted by any vendors. Still, the online malware scanner suggests it deserves the label of a medium security risk because of the outdated php version. OVERALL GRADE: Relatively Safe.
