What Is yts.mx?
YTS (yts.mx) is one of the most reputable online brands for downloading movie torrents. The full name for this brand is Yify Torrents. It gets abbreviated to YTS for the domain names. The original YIFY/YTS website was shut down in 2015. Since then several reliable YTS domains have allowed users to download torrents again and they get lots of traffic. As of December 2022, the yts.do domain gets 2.1 million monthly views, according to SimilarWeb. Several other YTS domains are getting similar amounts of traffic. Yts.mx is considered the main domain.

Is yts.mx Safe?
I analyzed yts.mx for malware and malicious content to check if it was legit or a scam. Here are the results:
I checked the yts.do domain on an online malware scanner Sucuri and it gave a warning that the site was outdated [because it uses php 5.6.40]. Php 5.6 was released in August of 2014 and is now considered a security risk because it’s so old. However, apart from that warning, the malware scanner said the domain was clean of any malware. In conclusion, the php version that YTS sites run on is outdated, but there was no malware detected and the site was not blacklisted by any vendors. Still, the online malware scanner suggests it deserves the label of a medium security risk because of the outdated php version. Overall grade: Relatively Safe.
