You’re highly recommended to unroot your device before you sell it as unrooting removes any custom modifications you may have done on your device and helps you get the stock experience back on your device. This way, the buyer will know that the phone runs on the pure stock ROM and hasn’t been much tinkered around, yet.

Here’s how you can go about unrooting your Samsung Galaxy Express 2:

Samsung Galaxy Express 2

Files You Need

1. Your computer should have Samsung USB Drivers installed on it. Without these drivers, your computer will not be able to recognize your device.

2. Download Stock ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Express 2 to your computer. It’s the entire OS file that will be flashed on your phone to get it back to stock.

3. Download Odin to your computer. It’s what you will use to flash the above stock ROM on your phone.

4. You should only try this on a SM-G3815 device.

Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy Express 2

1. Extract files from both the archives you have downloaded. To do so, right-click on both the archives one by one and select Extract here and it’ll extract the files for you.

2. Launch Odin by double-clicking on its executable.

3. When it launches, you need to click on the PDA button. Then, choose the Stock ROM file available on your computer. It’s the file that you’ve extracted from the archive.

4. Ensure that Repartition is unchecked in the Odin. Leaving it checkmarked will cause issues.

5. You can, however, enable both Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options.

6. Power off your device.

7. Power on your device by holding down Volume DOWN+Home+Power buttons at the same time.

8. Press Volume UP and you should be in download mode.

9. Plug in your phone to your computer with the help of a USB cable.

10. When you see the Added message in Odin, click Start and wait for it to flash the stock ROM on your device.

11. When the ROM is flashed, your phone will reboot.

12. You’re done.

The stock ROM was successfully flashed on your Samsung Galaxy Express 2 and your device is now unrooted.
