Did you choose to root your Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and get it away from the factory restrictions, but now wish to unroot the galaxy Ace 2? if so, you can do that easily by following the guide below.

The files you need:
- Download the official firmware build for the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 from Sam Mobile on this page.
- Download Odin 3.07 from our page here. If that version is down at the time of your visit, try downloading Odin 3.09. Both versions should work well for you.
Unrooting the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2
- Look on the Sam Mobile page above for the right firmware build for your country/region.
- Extract the firmware file and the Odin file on the desktop (unzip them).
- Now you should see the executable Odin program you can double-click the mouse and run on your computer.
- Run the Odin tool and leave it open.
- Completely power down your Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160 by holding the Power button for ten seconds.
- Reboot the mobile in Download Mode by holding the Volume Down + Home + Power buttons. You might need to press Volume Up from the next screen if you see a warning logo. Now you all should be in the Download Mode and ready to use Odin.
- Connect the Galaxy Ace 2 to the computer with the USB cable.
- You should see the Odin ID: COM port picks up your device. If that doesn’t happen it’s probably just a driver conflict. If you have already install the drivers from the link above in the ‘files’ section, try rebooting the computer and trying again.
- Click the PDA or AP button in Odin. The name will vary depending on which version of Odin you are using. However, you will see either PDA or AP options.
- Browse the computer for the unzipped firmware file you downloaded earlier.
- Now that you have uploaded the firmware file to the Odin tool, click the Start button to begin flashing that same file.
- The device will now be unrooted and you are ready to unplug from the computer after Odin gives you the pass message.
You should be able to navigate to the Settings > About Device > Software Updates and receive any future software updates from this area automatically. That only happens if your device gets future software updates. Sometimes aging devices get discontinued.
