The Moto G 2014 is now running on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Anyone wanting to root the device will need to install the new Titan boot image during this guide before they can then go ahead and install the traditional SuperSU file from a custom recovery.

Most custom recoveries should work fine, but we recommend installing the TWRP Recovery. Many people are still searching for CWM Recovery but that recovery is no longer active. TWRP Recovery is by far the best recovery to be running at this time and it will give you all the options you need, plus many unique options you cannot get from other recoveries.
