Whether it is a smartphone, tablet, phablet, or a wearable, if it runs Android it can be rooted. The Motorola Moto 360 is a smartwatch that runs Android as its operating system, and as said earlier, it can be rooted as it runs Android.

There isn’t much difference between having root access on a phone or tablet that runs on the Android operating system and having root access from a smartwatch that runs on Android. All occasions mean you are then able to install more applications than you were before. Moreover, you should find that most—if not all—apps that are available to run on the smartphone with root access also run on the smartwatch with root access if there is a reason for them to be available from a watch—which might not be the case for every app that is available for your phones. Still, the principles of root access remain the same: you are then in control of the root user account which has the chance to run all commands and all files. That is what the root apps need before they can run.

Root is the user account that Android has that allows the person in control to have access to all files and all commands on the system. There are a large number of apps that can take advantage of those permissions that are otherwise unavailable to you and everyone else to install before having root access.

It doesn’t matter what way you choose to go about being in control of the root user account. Once you have the root access, then you have the chance to run all of the root apps regardless of the method that you chose.

There are at least a few thousands of root applications out there today that would run on your device when you have rooted it, and you can install any of them. Some of them will be of no use to you and others will make you jubilant. You can find out the top root apps by checking out our list and then clicking on the download links that are available to install them on your device.
