The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is receiving a new update over the air, which has the build number of I317UCAMH3. It will upgrade the phablet to Android 4.1.2. Also worth noting is that to receive this firmware you will need to already be running the earlier version of 4.1.2, otherwise it cannot be seen. This has been stated on the official upgrade summary from the website.

The update as a whole isn’t very spectacular, only ranging in 165MB in size. It is mainly for bug fixes and improvements. No new features are yet known.

Updates can take some time to arrive in each individual settings panel. Most of you can expect to find it this week. Others will have to wait into the following weeks ahead. You can always check your device manually to see if it has arrived by navigating into the settings and check for any system updates. You should be notified, however, automatically when it comes in.

Be sure to check your notification bar to see when the new software comes in. If you decide to not install it straight away because you do not have a stable home WiFi connection where you are located, navigate to Settings > About Device > System Updates and check for update. From there, you can install it manually. Keep in mind that the roll outs happen in phases and no two people will receive it at the same time.
