Samsung spent the first half of the year with its focus on gaining people’s attention towards the Samsung Galaxy S5. Its release came in February. Following on from that saw months of speculation about the Galaxy F, or the S5 prime that we finally resolved in the last couple of months leading into the US Summer break.

Now as we start hearing the rumors mill wind up for Apple’s iPhone 6 Sammy are also throwing Galaxy Note 4 baits out into the wild and the last rumor suggests a UV Sensor coming inside the heralded product. There are still two months between now and when we are expecting the launch date to be in September so the rumors will be coming thick and fast. However, this latest one is causing quite a stir.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

So far the Note 4 is looking great on paper with Android 4.4.3 KitKat out of the box, water-resistant, dust resistant, 16 megapixel rear-facing shooter, 1440 x 2560 QHD display, Exynos 5433 SOC, Quad core, 1300 MHz, ARM Cortex-A57 & ARM Cortex-A53 processing power, but what really might steal the show is the Uv Sensor.

Earlier in the year we found out that health was going to be a huge factor in this year’s wearable technology such as the smart watches. The technology companies see it as a must to help out and keep people fit, it is a big reason so many people dislike tech in the first place. Naturally a part of the tech is sitting down and making us less active and not more active. From a tech point of view that means efficiency, but it’s important to balance the two.

Samsung launches the S health app to aid people in getting healthier. The app started with the Note 3 and the S4, but the features received an upgrade and overhaul for this years S5 and now we are expecting one more feature called the UV sensor to be ready for the Note 4 launch.

The S5 health app comes with a food tracker, walking mate, hiking added to exercise mate and the standout feature of the heart rate sensor. All of those will continue in the Note 4 plus the addition of the UV sensor. Of course, all of this is hearsay until we see the proof, so take it with a grain of salt until the launch happens in over a months time.

Interestingly, we are hearing talk of another Note 4 namely SM-N910S coming with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 APQ8084 system chip, Quad core, 2700 MHz, Krait 450 and an Adreno 420 graphics processor. As are assuming the health benefits will arrive for both variants at this point.
