The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 comes with an 8.9-inch display, 3-megapixel camera, 6000 mAh battery, 1 GB of RAM, Android 3.0 operating system running out of the box and a Nvidia Tegra 2 T20 chipset combined with a Dual-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A9 central processing unit. The display is PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen a dishes out 800 x 1280 pixels at a 170 ppi pixel density.
They say that the tablet is a dying breed, and if that is true nobody can blame Samsung for not doing everything they possible could give people something they wanted to hold. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is yet anther sized variation of the Tab series that now consists of over four main screen sizes for you to choose from and decide which one fits best in your hands. I for one do not believe the tablet is technically going to be phased out because I think there is a future with convertible laptops that can disconnect the keyboard and that naturally leaves people with a tablet also.
The reason I see those devices being successful is that the keyboard is what tends to fail more so than the hardware and that leaves many people needing to buy a new laptop when all they need is the keyboard. That is where the new convertible devices we see which double as a laptop with a detachable keyboard that can be used as a tablet. That way all people need to do is replace the keyboard when it breaks and keeps the same tablet. The main issue for tablets becoming obsolete is the fact that we now are seeing plenty of smartphones that are huge and people are taking to the larger sizes more so than I would have ever expected. Gone are the days when people care about how big their pockets look in those pants and in are the days when looking at stuff online reigns supreme.
