  • Make sure you have the Samsung Galaxy USB drivers. It is possible you have this already if you use the device regularly, in which case you can skip this step. This is necessary to connect the device to the computer, in order to upgrade the official firmware.

  • That you are using this guide purely for the purpose of rooting your Samsung Galaxy Fit GT-S5670 and no other device.
  • That your device is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
  • That you have at least 80% battery remaining on your device.

Root Samsung Galaxy Fit GT-S5670 On 2.3 Gingerbread

Step 1. First, you will need to download the file below:

Step 2. Once downloaded you will need to connect your device to your PC via the USB cable, make sure your device is in Mass Storage Mode.

Step 3. Now copy universal_gb_root_v25.zip to your devices SD card.

Step 4. Once done, disconnect your device from your PC and switch it off completely. Now hold down the ‘Home’ + ‘Power’ buttons together, your device will boot into recovery mode.

Step 5. Navigate through the screen with the ‘Volume Up’ & ‘Volume Down’ buttons until you locate ‘apply update from sd card.’ Once found select it using the ‘Home’ button.

Step 6. Then you will need to find and select the file we went to flash which is: universal_gb_root_v25.zip.

Step 7. You will be presented with an ‘install from sd card complete’ message on your device after a short time. Once you have seen this, it is now safe to reboot your device.
