Windows 10 comes with a menu often referred to as the Win+X or the Quick Links menu that offers a series of shortcuts to some of the most used places around the operating system.

You can bring up the Win+X menu by clicking on the Start button or by using the keyboard shortcut. Either way, it brings up the same Win+X flyout and has the same links.

Note: Starting with Windows 10 build 14971, you can now use the Settings application to choose whether you would like the Win+X menu to show the Command Prompt or the Windows PowerShell entries—you can’t have both. By default after Windows 10 build 14971, Windows shows you the PowerShell entry.

The following tutorial demonstrates how to open the Power User menu when you’re using a version of the Windows 10 operating system.
