If you own any number of the Sony Xperia devices and have downloaded the official Movie Creator app by Sony, it’s time to check the notifications panel for a new update. The folks at Sony are releasing new version 2.3.A.0.3 which is taking over the earlier 2.2.A.0.8 build number. You can read up on the earlier version here. You might recall one of the main features in the past update was bringing in a feature to automatic prompt device owners when a clip is ready. Well, the new version comes with even more features which are more impressive than that. The latest version is coming with a list for all the unfinished movies, the ability to add videos for highlight movie creation, performance enhancements, bug fixes and a new user interface which suits the Android 5.0 Lollipop software update.
Since the latest version of Android software is rolling out to many devices in the Sony Xperia range, it means many of the apps must be updated too so they don’t look out-of-place with the natural UI. Of course, Sony must apply the same thinking to their native apps and bloatware to set a good example for all the third-party developers.
Updating applications is a simple task which doesn’t need you backing up the data before starting. That said, if you want to do things by the technology book, you may download and install a third-party applications from the Google Play store and backup the existing data for when you need a hard reset.
