If you are looking for a new Microsoft Windows smartphone, the perfect mid-ranger is the 640 variant. It comes with a big display, fast 4G mobile data support, decent screen resolution, pixel density and camera. However, the system chip is substandard, even for today’s mid-range handsets. If you play a great deal of games, you could probably find better value elsewhere, as the lousy Snapdragon 400 isn’t doing you any favors in the hardware. Others who just want a smartphone that runs Microsoft Windows with the tile face should look at the 640 as an affordable option. You wouldn’t want to go any lower than the 640 if you are thinking about jumping on a plan.

The Microsoft Lumia 640 is available for subscribers at T-Mobile, MetroPCS and Cricket in the US. It’s also available in several overseas markets.
