There’s lots of reasons to throw your wallet in the direction of the ‘Big Red’ and today we’ve come across a new one if you are looking to buy a new smartphone under the LG name. Long been rumored, the LG G Vista looks like it is all but coming our way. Also joining the Verizon group is AT&T who also seem destined to provide this handset to subscribers when it becomes available.

Furthermore, we now know the reported release date and specs thanks to a leaked documents that reveals all. The release date is July 31 for both phone carriers if the documents authenticity hold up. It’s worth noting that some of our sources have their doubts about that because it doesn’t leave much time. We are already only a day or two away from that as it stands today. Nonetheless, that is what it is.

LG G Vista

As for the specs, we are getting a cheaper variant of the LG G3 that comes with an unnamed OS at the moment. It has a 5.7-inch display, 720 x 1280 pixels screen resolution, 258 ppi pixel density, Multi-touch touchscreen and the light sensor and proximity sensor.

Moreover, the hardware comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 system chip, Quad core, 1200 MHz, ARM Cortex-A7 processor, Adreno 305 graphics processor, 1536 MB RAM system memory, 8 GB internal storage space and an extra 32 GB up for grabs with a MicroSD or MicroSDHC memory card.

The camera boasts a 8 megapixel rear-facing shooter coupled with a 1.3 megapixel front-facing shooter. It also comes with LED flash, autofocus and a camcorder although no specifics are given on whether to expect full HD with that or not. The battery has a capacity of 3200 mAh.

To sum up, if you like the look of the original G3 that took the world by storm, but don’t have enough money to afford one this smartphone does a great job of tricking the onlookers. However, the specs are only a fraction of what made the original so special. With that said, it does see some interesting improvements over what we normally observe as a watered down option. For starters, people do get the luxury of having the storage expansion slot for extra memory. There’s no limits to how many cards you can buy either, so its essentially limitless. The only downside is there is a 32 GB maximum amount to any card. It also has cameras on the front and back so selfies won’t be an issue.

Although all that may be true, we have our doubts about the report being completely true. We are accustomed to seeing lots of leaks leading up to the release of a new device and it hasn’t happened this time around. What’s the chances of the two phone carriers banging this out by mid-week? We say slim, but it is possible.
