I’m not sure how to get my Galaxy A50 to boot. I was using it and then the next thing it just froze. I have not unlocked its bootloader but should I and then try installing a custom ROM?

You want to try hard resetting it to fix common software freezes. I don’t think we have a hard reset guide for the A50, but if you search the Web, you should find something involving a few hardware keys or just by long-pressing the Power button.
