The iPad 4 Jailbreak has been made by developer Chpwn who is a well renown Jailbreak apps developer and hacker. Chpwn revealed to the world that the iPad 4 Jailbreak has indeed been achieved. You can find out more after the jump.

After creating the Jailbreak, Chpwn then revealed via Twitter that the Jailbreak for the iPad 4 doesn’t look any different than the Jailbreak for the third generation iPad. The official tweet from Chpwn’s Twitter account ” It doesn’t look any different than on the iPad (3rd generation), but here’s Cydia running on the iPad (4th generation)”.

If you noticed the word Failbreak instead of Jailbreak you would be onto something. The reason why the developer is calling it a Failbreak is because the Jailbreak cannot be released to the public because it is for developers accounts only.

There’s another reason for this Jailbreak not going public and that is because the developers want to keep it private so that they can find more exploits in the software over time, which would then lead to Cydia and Jailbreak apps being ready foriOS 6.0.1.

While many of you are waiting patiently for the untethered iOS 6 jailbreak and thinking that Jailbreaking is going nowhere, it’s important to remember that there has now been a successful jailbreak made for the iPad 4, the iPad mini – which we will be covering later – and the iPhone 5. All of these jailbreaks are really great signs in future steps forward as we continue to wait for the untethered to come out.
