iOS 6.1 Beta 2 was released today, and already it can be jailbroken using Redsn0w 0.9.15b3. The new iOS 6.1 Beta 2 build number is 10B5105c. The leading beauty with the new beta is the change with the Apple Maps Tim Cook had promised to fix and create a better app for. By no means does this beta instantly give a better Apple Maps app, but it paves the way for developers to get in and start to build on it, making the future outlook much brighter for the lackluster first attempt by Apple after moving on from the previous Google Maps.

This new Beta release is for developers only which means it comes at a fee. The fee is $99 and can be purchased directly from the Apple Dev Center.

If you do plan on upgrading to iOS 6.1 Beta 2 build 10B5105c, you may also be pleased to know that it can be jailbroken using Redsn0w straight up. We already have the guide for Redsn0w 0.9.15b3 you can obtain through the link.

Please keep in mind that the jailbreak is a tethered one and is only available for A4 or earlier devices. A tethered Jailbreak means that every time you wish to reboot your device it will need to be booted into tethered mode using Redsn0w upon start-up again.

You will also need to upgrade to iOS 6 before you can jailbreak. Simply follow the link provided to learn how.
