Sony Xperia Z3 is getting a new 21.1.A.0.726 Android 5.0.2 firmware update. Using this update you can experience the most latest version of Android which is the Lollipop. But as you all know that Google made its Lollipop version more secure which makes this version more hard to root it. So to do this you just have to flash a pre rooted firmware zip file. This is the only possible way to root your phone and customize your phone’s interface and performance.

Let me tell you one thing that If you root your phone then your phone’s warranty will be gone and in future you will not be able to claim it till your phone is rooted. Because rooting is not a legal process, not recommended by Google or Sony as this process is risky and may brick your device if not done properly. So root your phone at your own risk and follow the guide carefully.

Back up all of your important data to any safe place so it will be safe there and won’t get wiped if anything goes wrong during this process. Sync all of your important contacts to your Google account and have them back after this process. Backup all of your media files like photos, videos and music to your PC or any other external drive.

You need a windows based PC with internet connection, a USB cable to connect your phone to PC and your phone with any custom recovery installed. Enable USB debugging on your phone by going to settings > developer options > check USB debugging option, you can unlock developer options by going to settings > about phone > tap on build number 7 times.

You can verify that your Lollipop pre rooted package has worked on your Z3 by heading to Google Play and downloading any root checker app.
