The Google Nexus 6 if the top-end smartphone under the Mountain View companies name for around the next three quarters of the year. Usually what we see with Google Nexus-based devices is having to side-load, using ADB or Android SDK with flashing firmware or opening up the operating system with root access. On the other hand, there is a different method using Chainfire’s CF-Auto-Root tool.

The CF-Auto-Root tool is one of the easiest methods to hacking your Android. Furthermore, it leaves users with about as close to a stock Android experience as they can get from any rooting tool. After applying the following program, you can equip your smartphone with extra apps from the Google Play Store, installing and flash a custom ROM to add additional features and more.

Details We Should Know

  • You don’t automatically wipe the ROM during the installing. Nevertheless, we strongly recommend backing up the data.
  • You don’t have root access until after the guide; therefore, you want to back up the data such as call logs, SMS texts, pictures, music files, video, phone contacts and setting using official applications from Google Play or by using the built-in backup tool from the phone.
  • We recommend backing up the Android apps with AirDroid, storing the text messages with the SMS backup and restore app, make copies of the call history with Call Logs backup and restore and backing up the APN settings manually by accessing the Settings > Wireless & Networks tab.
  • Don’t start unless you have at least 60% battery charge. You can do that where you are in front of the computer by using the USB charging option.
  • Enable USB Debugging from the Developer Options menu.
  • Install the latest Google Nexus USB drivers for your device from this link.
  • You need a computer for downloading the package and transferring the file while the phone is in bootloader mode. Don’t try applying the same without a computer.
  • You are voiding the remainder of the device manufacturer’s warranty. You will gain the privileges back again only by un-rooting the device. You can do the same by flashing an official OTA update manually, or by checking out un-rooting options from Google Play. Bear in mind that apps usually come at a premium price.
