Rooting the Blackview BV6000 can potentially be done a few different ways as we head into the latter stages of this year, but for now, there is only one way to root it, and that is by taking advantage of the custom recovery that is available for it. Team Win’s TWRP Recovery is the best custom recovery in the world and is far superior to ClockworkMod Recovery at the moment, and TWRP is available for everyone to install on the Blackview BV6000 smartphone.

Once you have installed the custom recovery on the smartphone, you can then install the right versions of Chainfire’s SuperSU, and it results in the device then being rooted. The difference is that the custom recovery allows for the installation of SuperSU so that it is enabled correctly. That is something that cannot be done from the stock recovery partition and it is not possible to install directly from the Google Play Store either. There are a few devices get SuperSU installed, but they always involved either installing a modified recovery or a custom recovery first.

Here is everything that you need to root the Blackview BV6000 smartphone when it is running on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow software updates by flashing Chainfire’s SuperSU from a custom recovery image:

  1. Connect the Blackview BV6000 smartphone to the computer with the USB cable that you use for charging the battery.
  2. Open the Downloads folder if it is a Windows PC (or the default download location for other operating systems if you do not have Windows) and you can see the SuperSU file there.
  3. Copy the SuperSU 2.76 to the internal storage SD card folder.
  4. Unplug the Blackview smartphone from the computer once it is done.
  5. Boot the Blackview BV6000 into the recovery mode by pressing the hardware key combination for the stock recovery mode and it boots up the custom recovery that you flashed over the stock recovery earlier.
  6. Take the NANDroid Backup from the custom recovery menu if you have not backed up yet just in case you want to apply a hard reset later.
  7. Tap on the Install button and browse the SD card storage for the SuperSU file.
  8. Confirm you do want to install the SuperSU by following the on-screen guidelines for getting that done.
  9. Choose the option to Reboot and then System to get back into the normal mode.

That is how to root Blackview BV6000 smartphones when they are running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow software updates by flashing a version of SuperSU by Chainfire. The Blackview phone reboots now and then the SuperSU is available as an app. You can enter the app and check out the settings that are available if you wish, but you do not need to do anything with the SuperSU. It is already enabled and working on the phone. All you need to do now is install the root applications online and then the SuperSU helps prompt you with a message on the display when you open the root app asking you if you do want to grant it root access and that is how you grant the rooting permissions to the root apps.

Rooting means that you can now install any of those root apps on the device that you could not have installed before having the root access. It puts you in charge of what goes on and is deleted from the device. Most of the great root apps are available from the same Google Play Store app that you already sue for installing apps. All you need to do now is find out some of the names of the root apps that you want to install. You can start by checking out our post that gives what we think are many of the best root applications out there available on the market for you to install today.
