Now you can use Sn0wbreeze v2.9.11 to jailbreak iOS 6.1.2. Snowbreeze 2.9.11 will let you Jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 firmware for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4G.

The Evasi0n Jailbreak tool is out, however, if you are looking to jailbreak one of the devices mentioned above and are also seeking to preserve the baseband then Sn0wbreeze 2.9.11 is the recommended method of jailbreaking.

Here’s what you need to jailbreak your device when you have it running on the iOS 6.1.2 software update by using the Sn0wbreeze tool.

How To Jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 Using Sn0wbreeze

Step 1. Download the latest version of Sn0wbreeze from here. You will also need to be running iOS 6.1.2 firmware if you are not already. Get iOS 6.1.2 from here, or check out our complete iPhone firmware page if that is the device you are using.

Step 2. Once download opens it up and run the Sn0wbreeze.exe file. Sn0wbreeze is only available for Windows computers, so you will need to go grab one to follow this guide and use the jailbreak tool.

Step 3. Just like last time, if you are using Windows 8 then you have no choice but to head over and download Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5. Now a big deal but if you can avoid it and use another operating system, by all means, do.

Step 4. Once Sn0wbreeze has opened up on the computer, Browse for an IPSW using the navigation that says this option. Inside the IPSW area is where you need to put iOS 6.1.2 which is the firmware we are using. When finished click the ‘next’ button.

Step 5. From here you need to choose the Simple Mode followed by clicking next. Simple mode basically means Sn0wbreeze will now head off and do the work for you. During this time Sn0wbreeze will build the custom iOS 6.1.2 until you are prompted to continue to the next step.

Step 6. Now you will need to put your device into DFU Mode. If it has entered the DFU correctly, the iREB feature will put the device into a PWND DFU state followed by a message to confirm this.

Step 7. Close Sn0wbreeze and open up iTunes instead. Here you need to perform a restore. To do this hold the Shift/Option key and a restore option will appear. Confirm the restore. Now you will need to select the custom iOS 6.1.2 firmware we built previously during the guide. You can find this where you saved it, hopefully, the desktop.

Next sit back and wait while iTunes restores the custom iOS 6.1.2 firmware on your device.
