Android as an operating system comes with a separate bootable partition we call recovery mode. It’s important we have this special recovery mode available for when something goes wrong with our smartphone or tablets. If you ever have a virus, bug, or the mobile device just isn’t acting right, you can boot it in the recovery mode and effectively recover the device. Once you boot the OnePlus two smartphone in the recovery mode, you can perform a factory reset, delete the cache partition, apply official software updates and wipe the data.

When it comes to fixing problems, you should wipe the cache partitions and wipe the data, followed by a factory reset. If that doesn’t help the issue, you can wipe the current stock Android ROM by updating to a newer software update that’s available for your OnePlus two smartphone. All options are extremely efficient at improving the quality of your device, but software updates are not always readily available. We rely on Android, OEMs and phone carrier networks to team up and provide a staged roll out of software updates. Furthermore, once the device ages, software updates become less consistent until finally the device is no longer supported by any software updates. At these times, the factory reset is your only option.
