Creating a log file is as easy as creating a simple document in Notepad. Here are the simple steps to create a log file using Windows built-in text editor, Notepad.

Open Notepad from Start menu or go to Start>>Run and type notepad, then hit enter.

In the first line, type.LOG (Remember the point first).

Save the file with any name.

Now, whenever you open this file, the timestamp will automatically appear for the current time and date, and you can type whatever data you want.
