AT&T’s developed an LTE version of the HTC One in 2014, and it has received approval from the FCC. A mobile phone with the number of 0P6B120 was passed through the FCC, and we have strong reason to believe that it is the 2014 HTC flagship mobile. With that news we can safely say that the scheduled date of March 25 for the HTC press event, will be the day that the HTC One M8 will be released because there is nothing holding it back now that it is certified.
This year’s model of the HTC One has been given the name M8. That isn’t confirmed just yet, and we will have to wait until the official unveiling by the Taiwanese manufacturer of Smartphones and tablets. A French Government website has two new HTC Smartphones listed as the One 2 and One 2 Dual. This caused many to believe that it was the name of what we had called the M8. That’s a prime example of why we can’t be sure it is called the M8 until they tell us. There have been other names spoken of out there that it could end up being.
Only a matter of days ago we saw leaked images of the M8 in gold this time. The same day that Ev leaks got hold of this picture another rumor broke mentioning that the M8 could be called “The All New One”. It’s possible that both the image and the name will turn out fake, but Ev Leaks are a very reputable website that breaks a lot of stories because inside sources go to them with the news that they have about a device. If the gold phone is true, then “The All New One” could also be the real name given to this year’s handset.
Nothing is official yet, including the name, but the latest reports say that the 2014 HTC One will have Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box, and it will also come with Sense 6.0. It will have a big 5-inch full HD display and aluminium body. The processor will be a Snapdragon 800. The Snapdragon 805 is coming to some devices later on this year, but now the 800 is still great to have.
