If you visit the official Sony update center you can grab the latest version of the Movie Creator app namely 2.1.A.0.5. According to the official support page this update is 7.6 MB in size; therefore we know it is small and won’t carry a great amount of features. However, the good news is that you can install the upgrade with ease using the mobile data if you wish.
We love the Movie Creator application since it lets us make 30 second short video clips thanks to the video and picture files already existing in your Xperia devices internal or external storage. That way you can put together some movies with the footage you have taken yourself. The new build lets users alter the background music that they hear playing while the footage is playing. Apart from that, there’s not much else to report here.

Backups are not critical when installing new applications. Nevertheless, if you want to be on the safe side you can download the Helium app from the Google Play Store and at least make copies of the apps stored on the handset. That way if you require a factory reset you have the applications saved for a fresh restore.
