The new flagship and the successor in the line of the Samsung’s most premium smartphone is here. Gone is the time when people used to laugh at a giant 5.3-inch phone (back in 2011 when the first Note came out). Four years later, we hold to our seats as the franchise launches its next beast. The Galaxy Note 4 is big. That’s how you describe it. It’s big in the term’s of size, in terms of power, in terms of productivity and in terms of battery.
The size of the device is same as their previous phablet, Note 3. But it is not the same touch screen. Samsung has enhanced it to various degrees and gives the device something worthy of its size and branding. But, the feel of the device is all the more premium and it doesn’t feel plasticky and tacky as the Galaxy Note 3. The specs just jump out of the page and it surely is a tough competition for devices like LG G4, Nexus 6 and the iPhone 6 plus.
The camera of the device may not be as muscular as the raw image production houses of Sony and Lumia, but the upside is its easy use. Even rookies can get awesome results with the Note 4 camera. The S pen stylus is great, but we still have some questions about it. The battery is a power-house and the best part: it’s removable. You can swap another pair if you need it. The gigantic battery can sustain WiFi, videos and data usage much longer than other high-end devices like the iPhone 6. Samsung introduced the fingerprint scanner on the home button which juts adds more to this giant.
The phone is the most premium and lavish that Samsung has produced till date. If you are a user who adores gigantic phones, then the Note 4 is for you. It is steeply priced and will upset your budget for sure. Samsung is doing everything, probably too much, to dominate the market. But most of it is useless. The productivity over usability factor is still there. But, apart from that, the Samsung Note 4 is an awesome device and from its specs and finish, it feels like it is here to last.
