Samsung released the Samsung Galaxy A-series during October of 2014 — right next to the time they released the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. Samsung are one of our favorite smartphone brands, but they have a habit of bringing out several devices at once instead of the one which can lead to confusion.

Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Alpha which was designed as a premium device, the A-series targets the mid-range market. There are three devices in the aforesaid A-series — Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 — and the A3 is the baby of the bunch.

Samsung Galaxy A3

The A-series of smartphones look similar to the premium Galaxy Alpha, only they do not have the metal edging on the sides. Furthermore, they different devices in the A-series come with different sizes so you can tell them apart.
