The Amazon Fire Phone deserves more respect than it gets and it offers one of the best value for money smartphones on the market. The largest potential problem is that it comes with the Fire OS and not a standard Android OS. Amazon have done this to keep shoppers within the Amazon ecosystem and it is without a doubt the number one reason it didn’t sell. The problem with having the Fire OS is that it doesn’t come with the Google Play Store by default. It comes with its own Amazon app store.
There are workarounds for that problem and with a bit of tweaking, many people are finding ways to get the Google Play Store working on the Amazon Fire Phone. Just don’t go buying this smartphone for someone else thinking it’s great value for money because it’s new and most new smartphones are expensive. People are not going to enjoy living without the Google Play Store unless that person is you and you are buying it for yourself.
The Amazon Fire Phone comes with a 4.7-inch display and gives great outdoor visibility. The standout feature of the Fire Phone is its unique ability to give a 3D effect from having four front-facing cameras.
The Amazon Fire Phone is now discontinued from AT&T and no other carrier are selling the device. You can, however, still buy them from retailers online.
