The Amazon Fire HD 7 is the largest tablet variant of the Fire range that came out during 2014. It’s pretty much the same tablet as the Amazon Fire HD 6 but it comes with the larger screen. The system internals of the HD 6 and HD 7 are identical, so if you are into customizing a device with a custom recovery or root access, you can use the same guides.
Those not into customizing a device in any way and just wanting to know more about the Amazon Fire HD 7 should know that it comes with the unique Fire OS just like the rest of the Amazon devices. That means you can browse the web in the same fashion as you normally would, but you are very much a product of Amazon’s app environment until you make some necessary tweaks. You do not see the Google Play Store when you open this device out of the box, but rather Amazon’s own app store. You can search Google to learn more about Amazon’s own app store – and it’s easy to find since it comes under the same name. The only difference is that it’s spelled “Amazon AppStore” and joins the latter two words.
