Windows 7 has been the most successful operating system after the Windows XP. Windows 7 comes with lots of features which weren’t available in the Windows XP. It comes with the all new designed appearance and aero interface.

In Windows 7, you can create multiple user accounts on your PC. By having separate accounts for the each user, each one will have freedom to change their settings as per their choice, no restrictions at all. Windows 7 users can change their profile picture.

However, you can replace the profile picture of your user account in Windows 7, but there is no option to modify the frame which appears around your profile picture in the start menu.

A site called Door2Windows has developed a utility. It allows you to change user picture frame. Thus, you can get rid of the default rounded corners frame and get one of your choices. The utility is free and works on Windows 7 platform.

First of all, Download the W7 User Picture Frame Changer using the link given at the bottom. It’s a small file and downloads in seconds. The file is in ZIP format, so you will need to extract it. You can use any free extractor to do so.

After extracting the archive, you will find two files, just right click on the Windows 7 User Picture Frame Changer.exe file and choose Run as administrator, as it requires administrator privileges to do the task.

There are not so many options in the utility—only two options exist there. The first options called Change User Picture Frame allows you to change the frame to your choice. Click on it and choose the bitmap image on your PC which suits best as the frame.
