Ahmed Mohamed, a Muslim teenager who is only 14 years old, was been arrested in Irving, Texas, on Monday for bringing a homemade clock to his school. The teachers thought that the homemade clock was a hoax bomb and immediately rang the police for further investigation. According to Ahmed, he was so excited the moment he invented a homemade digital clock out of a pencil box. He was surprised by the reaction when he arrived at the school. The little genius was hoping to be appreciated for his invention but ended up his day with an unjustified punishment.

“They arrested me and they told me that I committed the crime of a hoax bomb, a fake bomb,” Ahmed told media when he was released by the authorities.

A photo has been revealed by Irving Police, possibly under social media anger, the photo clearly shows a homemade digital clock sitting inside a pencil box.
While Mohamed was interrogating, authorities stopped him from contacting his parents or any of his siblings and took away his invention along with his tablet and other tech devices he brought to the school.
Ahmed’s father, Mohamed Elhassan, who is an immigrant from Sudan, is very upset with whatever happened to his child and told the Morning News that his son was only mistreated because of his name. He only wanted to invent something good for humanity. He further said that school authorities should have contacted me and informed me about the whole situation which they did not bother to do.

We wanted to close this story on a polite note by confirming that Irving Chief Larry Boyd has released a statement regarding Ahmed’s situation confirming that there were no charges on Ahmed, and they’re happy to see such talent is growing in the USA every day, during a press conference, in Irving, Texas.
It is also important to highlight at this point that Ahmed’s family claims that he was suspended from school for three days. It is unclear at this point, whether Ahmed has been taken back to the school or not since he was released without any charges.
